Go Green with IMT Initiative adds Eight Trees in Audubon, IA

In combination with The IMT Group’s Go Green with IMT initiative, The Community Insurance Agency and The IMT Group proudly planted eight trees at the Albert the Bull Park in Audubon, Iowa, on Monday, October 24, 2016. The park's environment has been enriched thanks to a mixture of eight new Maple and Oak trees.

The Go Green with IMT program donates $1 to Trees Forever, a nonprofit charitable organization headquartered in Marion, Iowa, for every policyholder who goes paperless with The IMT Group. In return, trees are being planted in one of The IMT Group’s partnering agency’s communities within their six writing states (Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin).  Since October 15, 2015, over 1,500 insureds made the choice to be paperless.

Community Insurance Agency nominated the city’s Albert the Bull Park to receive trees. Dave Lake, Dave Walters, Cynthia Heller, Amy Bengard, and Shelby Jensen planted the trees on behalf of Community Insurance Agency. Also in attendance to help with the tree planting were Kristin Foran (Parks and Rec Board), Joe Foran (Audubon City Clerk), and Jason Hocker (Audubon City Council). Girls Scouts from Troop 141 helped plant the trees as well. The IMT Group was represented by Troy Neil (Sr. Manager - Marketing), Kim Nyborg (Territory Manager), and Erin Wonsmos (Sr. Marketing Coordinator). Brad Riphagen, Trees Forever, educated the entire group on the proper way to plant trees, in addition to assisting the planting.

We are proud to give back to our local communities and excited to continue doing so!
